traditional Turkish bridal wear (right)
Taking into account Ozbek's heritage I decided to look at Turkish bridal wear, with its use of consistent pattern throughout a garment you can see the influence in the Pollini collection.
also in certain silhouettes e.g. the Pollini outfit all in black.
there is direct influence from Turkey in his own collection including cut.

the collage of images above consist of the Ottoman empire traditional wear and the Ballet Russes.

this is a collection by Ozbek, showing his ability of cut and construction through the use of one colour. Interesting to see subtle indian influences (bottom left)

Statement piece: Bolero

looking at one of Ozbek's collections ( as I found alot of the time they were very different)  I found nearly all of the garments were very short, also that necklines were either really high or very low.
