In the first tailoring workshop we learnt how to, in groups, measure up the figure properly with a measuring tape, here are some images of how we got on.

We also cut apart the bottom lining and sleeve seam in order to look inside of a tailored jacket, and see how the internal structure is constructed.

We also had a presentation on soft and hard tailoring
with hard tailoring using stiff interfacings to retain shape, and soft tailoring allowing the shell fabric to move more loosely
